This vocabulary provides authoritative reference data for educational institutions. Use the concept URI as the object of schema:alumniOf or schema:affiliation on person entity nodes. Each concept is typed schema:EducationalOrganization with structured address, geo, and identifier data. The IPEDS UNITID (in the concept's local ID and notation field) is the canonical federal identifier. Search with ?q= for substring matching on institution names. Individual concepts dereference to full institution profiles at /vocabularies/institutions/{UNITID}.
